This NOFA is funded by the California Volunteers #CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps grant. The City is seeking non-profit organizations and governmental entities to administer internships for a minimum of five youth and young adults between the ages of 16-30 within the #CaliforniansForAll framework within climate, food security, and COVID-19 related fields. Program participants must earn at least $15.00 per hour and be employed a minimum of 50% full-time equivalent (FTE). Applicants must address how they will recruit participants, provide wraparound services, case management and training in alignment with the Authorized Activities. The program should be at least a four-month program but no longer than twelve months. The city reserves the right to extend agreements beyond one-year based on grantee’s performance and funding availability.

The City has allocated approximately $2 million of the CFA Grant for COVID-19 Recovery and Young Adult Work Experience Program. The City intends to enter into no more than 10 grant agreements with non-profits and governmental entities to train and employ Sacramento’s priority youth and young adults. The amount of any grant award(s) will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: the total number of applicants; completeness of an application; expense eligibility under federal regulations; and an organization’s total operating budget. No cash match is required.

Please review full NOFA document for application requirements.
